
Exploring Future Research Synergies: Dean of Faculty of Agriculture UNIB Visits KMITL Laboratories for Strategic Collaboration
In a significant development for the Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Bengkulu (UNIB), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Indra Cahyadinata, Dean of the Faculty, led a delegation of presenters from the university to visit the renowned laboratories at the King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), Bangkok, following their participation in the 12th International Conference on Integration of Science and Technology for Sustainable Development (12th ICIST 2024) held at Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University, Thailand.
During this visit, Prof. Pakkapong, from KMITL, graciously guided the UNIB delegation through a series of advanced laboratories of School of Industrial Education and Technology and School of Agricultural Technology. The laboratories toured included:
- Agricultural Education Laboratory
- Maker Space
- Industrial Automation Learning Center
- Plant Breeding Laboratory
- Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory
- Utilization of Medicinal Plant Extract Laboratory
- Aquaculture Laboratory
- Smart Farm Management Laboratory
- Animal Feed Nutrition Laboratory
- Meat Science Processing Products Laboratory
This tour not only provided insight into the state-of-the-art research and innovation happening at KMITL, but also sparked in-depth discussions between both institutions regarding the potential for collaborative research projects. Both parties expressed keen interest in developing joint research initiatives that would enhance knowledge sharing, scientific advancement, and foster academic growth for their respective universities.
