Faperta’s Young Lecturer Makes International Mark, Wins Best Presenter at ICIST 2024
Ridha Rizki Novanda, MSc., a promising young lecturer from the Faculty of Agriculture (Faperta) at Universitas Bengkulu (UNIB), was awarded Best Presenter at the 12th International Conference on Integration of Science and Technology for Sustainable Development (12th ICIST 2024), held at Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University, Thailand, from November 29 to December 1, 2024. Ridha’s presentation, titled “Intention of Reducing Food Waste Among Indonesian Gen Z: The Role of Religious Beliefs, Financial Attitudes, and Consumption Cultures”, was recognized for its insightful approach to addressing food waste reduction within Indonesia’s younger generation.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Indra Cahyadinata, Dean of Faperta UNIB, expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Ridha, highlighting the pride and honor the Faculty felt in seeing their young academic talent shine on the international stage. He emphasized that Ridha’s achievement not only brought recognition to Faperta UNIB but also contributed to the global discussion on sustainable practices in agriculture. The award was personally presented by Prof. Dr. Kasem Soytong, President of AATSEA, at the conference.
