
Today’s Election for the Governor and Vice Governor of BEM FP UNIB Conducted via Online Voting
Bengkulu, February 21, 2025 – The Election Commission of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Bengkulu (FP UNIB), is conducting the election for the Governor and Vice Governor of the Student Executive Board (BEM) for the 2025/2026 period today. The election process is being held online through an online voting system, enabling all FP UNIB students to vote efficiently and transparently.
This election is an integral part of the campus democracy process. It aims to elect student leaders who will drive change and represent student aspirations for the upcoming year. The Election Commission (KPU) of FP UNIB ensures that the voting system operates somewhat securely and remains accessible to all eligible students.
The candidates for Governor and Vice Governor of BEM FP UNIB:
- Azim Ramadhan (Bachelor’s in Animal Husbandry, Class of 2022) and Rince Novita Yulianda (Bachelor’s in Agribusiness, Class of 2022)
- Niko Permansyah (Bachelor’s in Agrotechnology, Class of 2022) and Fadhila Muharam (Bachelor’s in Marine Science, Class of 2022)
A representative from KPU FP UNIB stated that the online voting system is expected to increase student participation, mainly due to its convenience. “We are making every effort to ensure this election is conducted transparently and reliably. With the online system, students can vote from anywhere without being physically present at the polling station,” the representative explained.
The two candidate pairs are competing in this election, each presenting their vision and mission to enhance the quality of student organizations within FP UNIB. Before the election, debates and campaigns were conducted to provide students with a clear understanding of each candidate’s proposed programs.
The election results will be announced upon the completion of the vote-counting process. KPU FP UNIB has also implemented monitoring measures to ensure the integrity of the election and prevent any fraudulent activities.
FP UNIB students are encouraged to exercise their voting rights wisely to elect leaders who will bring positive changes to the organization and the university. Voting will be open until [14.00 WIB], and the final results will be officially announced through BEM FP UNIB’s official channels.
