HIMAILKA 2025 Work Meeting Successfully Held

Bengkulu, February 20, 2025—The Marine Science Student Association (HIMAILKA) of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Bengkulu, successfully held its 2025 Work Meeting (Raker) on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at GKB 1 Room 4. Key stakeholders, including the Vice Dean for Student Student Affairs of the Faculty of Agriculture, HIMAILKA’s Advisory Board, and all HIMAILKA board members, attended the event.

The meeting commenced with an opening speech by the Chair of HIMAILKA, Hafidz Alfah Hibrizi, who expressed great hope for the sustainability of the organization’s activities and the active role of HIMAILKA in advancing marine science in Indonesia. Following this, HIMAILKA’s Advisor, Ms. Nella Tri Agustini, S.Kel., M.Si., delivered an inspiring speech, motivating all board members and HIMAILKA members to contribute effectively.

The final opening speech was delivered by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr Hesti Pujiwati, who officially inaugurated the 2025 HIMAILKA Work Meeting. In his speech, he expressed appreciation for HIMAILKA’s dedication to continuous innovation and the implementation of its flagship programs.

One of HIMAILKA’s flagship programs presented during the event was the Marine Fair, an initiative to raise public awareness about the importance of marine conservation. Additionally, HIMAILKA has planned a Mangrove Planting Action Using the Clumped Method in areas affected by coastal erosion in Central Bengkulu Regency as a tangible effort toward coastal ecosystem restoration.

With a firm commitment and a spirit of collaboration, the 2025 HIMAILKA Work Meeting is expected to positively impact society, the environment, and the quality of marine science education.
