The Grand Reunion of KAMPALA, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu (FP UNIB)
On April 12, 2025, the extended family of KAMPALA, the Faculty of Agriculture student organization at the University of Bengkulu (FP UNIB), convened a vibrant and heartfelt Grand Reunion. Held over two days, the event served as a significant moment to reinforce intergenerational bonds and sustain KAMPALA’s enduring legacy across multiple cohorts.
The reunion was formally inaugurated on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the KAMPALA Headquarters of FP UNIB. The opening ceremony featured the traditional tumpeng—a cultural symbol of gratitude and reverence for the organization’s long-standing history. Distinguished attendees included alums, current members, Dr Hesti Pujiwati, SP, M.Si (Vice Dean for Student Affairs, FP UNIB), and other guests.
After the opening, an intergenerational sarasehan (dialogue forum) was held featuring Prof. Dr Ir. Alnopri, M.S., one of the earliest Honorary Members of KAMPALA FP UNIB. During this reflective session, Prof. Alnopri shared narratives on the founding of KAMPALA, highlighting the core values and struggles that shaped the organization. This occasion served as a space for collective introspection to revitalize the spirit of kinship and renew commitments to the organization’s continuity.
The following day, a warm atmosphere of camaraderie infused the morning as participants joined a leisurely fun walk around the University and its surrounding areas. The event continued with outbound games and a spirited fun rafting activity at the UNIB Lake—both of which were met with great enthusiasm. Laughter, teamwork, and sportsmanship characterized the activities, all carefully designed to foster cohesion and collaboration among participants.
The reunion concluded with a tree-planting initiative near the KAMPALA Headquarters at FP UNIB. This symbolic act reflected the organization’s enduring commitment to environmental stewardship, an ethos deeply embedded in every KAMPALA movementKAMPALA movement since its inception.
