The Vice Dean for Student Affairs Closes the 8th Anniversary of the HMPT Event.

On Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 4:00 PM, WIB, the courtyard of the Plant Protection Building, witnessed the closing ceremony of the 8th Anniversary of the Plant Protection Student Association (HMPT). This festive event was attended by various prominent figures from the faculty and department, signaling full support for student activities.

The Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Hesti Pujiwati, expressed her appreciation for the enthusiasm and spirit shown by the students throughout the series of Anniversary events. “The HMPT Anniversary activities were very lively. Happy 8th Anniversary to HMPT. May you continue to be successful and increasingly achieve excellence. The next Anniversary activities are expected to foster camaraderie and hone students’ skills in the field of Plant Protection,” she remarked in her speech.

The event was also attended by Ir. Djamilah, MP, who serves as the Secretary of the Plant Protection Department, along with several HMPT Advisory Board members, namely Prof. Dwinardi Aprianto, PhD, Ir. Nadrawati, MP, and Affifatchur, SP, MSi. Additionally, Plant Protection lecturers Dr. Hendri Bustaman and Prof. Agustin Zarkani, PhD, were present to offer their support.

In his remarks, Prof. Agustin Zarkani, PhD, emphasized the importance of the Anniversary as a platform to foster enthusiasm in studying the core discipline of Plant Protection. “Make the HMPT Anniversary a platform to ignite your passion for studying the core elements of your discipline, especially in enhancing both hard skills and soft skills, which can be utilized in entering the workforce or applied independently after becoming an alumni,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Prof. Dwinardi Aprianto, PhD, reminded students to balance organizational activities and academic responsibilities. “With the HMPT Anniversary, do not neglect your responsibilities as students, which could lead to negative consequences. Especially as I have observed, students tend to be more enthusiastic about activities like these. I believe commemorating the Anniversary is a positive endeavor, but academic performance and achievements must also remain excellent,” he advised.

The closing ceremony of HMPT’s 8th Anniversary concluded with various engaging activities that not only strengthened the camaraderie among students but also honed their skills in the field of Plant Protection. The spirit built during this Anniversary is hoped to continue and propel HMPT to even more outstanding achievements.
