Opening of the Agropreneur National Business Plan Competition, 2024

Saturday, September 21, 2024—The Agropreneur National Business Plan Competition was officially opened online. This activity is an initiative of the Agricultural Industrial Technology Student Association (HIMATIN), which aims to develop an entrepreneurial spirit among students, especially in the fields of agribusiness and agricultural industrial technology.

Dr. Hesti Pujiwati, S.P., M.Si, Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Faculty of Agriculture, led the event’s opening. In her remarks, she conveyed the importance of the role of the younger generation in supporting agribusiness-based innovation and entrepreneurship to answer the challenges of food security in the future.

“Through this competition, it is hoped that students will be able to produce creative and solution-oriented ideas that are not only relevant to technological developments but also sustainable and applicable on an industrial scale,” said Dr. Hesti.

This event was attended by participants from various universities throughout Indonesia who were ready to compete to showcase their best innovations in the agribusiness sector. The opening agenda also included M. Rasyid Ridho reading the holy verses of the Qur’an and a trio of students singing the national anthem, Indonesia Raya. After the speeches, the event continued with a closing prayer led by Alza Nevaldy Ghazali and ended with a documentation session.

With the high enthusiasm of the participants, this event is expected to be a place of learning and innovation for students to become reliable agropreneurs in the future.
