
The Opening Ceremony of MGFest 2024 Runs Lively
On Saturday, November 9, 2024, the Student Activity Unit (UKM) MGC Faculty of Agriculture (FP) KBM Universitas Bengkulu successfully held the opening ceremony of MGFest 2024. The event was also combined with a Seminar on Defending Palestine and Graphic Design Soft Skills Training. The event, which took place in the FP UNIB Dean’s Meeting Room, was officially opened by the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, Mrs. Dr. Hesti Pujiwati, S.P., M.Si.


After the opening ceremony, a seminar on defending Palestine was held by presenting Trisna Murti, S.I.Kom., an experienced person in the field. In the afternoon, the event continued with graphic design training presented by Muhammad Iqbal Pratama, S.T.P. This activity was themed “Collaboration of Young Muslims, Building an Islamic Soul Full of Creativity and Achievement with MGFest 2024.” The theme carries the spirit of collaboration of Muslim youth to contribute creatively for mutual progress that is beneficial both in this world and the hereafter.
About MGFest
MGFest, or Muslim Generation Festival, is an annual event held by UKM MGC Universitas Bengkulu. Every year, MGFest is present to be a place for expression and creativity for the young generation of Muslims to create works that have Islamic and creative values. Through a series of activities and competitions held, MGFest aims to form a generation of quality youth, both in worldly and hereafter affairs, and have real contributions to society.





Various Competitions at MGFest 2024
As part of the annual event, MGFest 2024 is holding several national-scale competitions, including Islamic Content, Poster Design, Islamic Essay, and MTQ competitions, which are open to all students from Indonesia. Each competition has an inspiring theme, such as “Muslim Gaul, Emang Ada?” for Islamic Content, “Gen Z Action Supports Palestine” for Poster Design, and “Pemuda Qurani, Pemimpin Masa Depan” for MTQ.
Schedule and Awards
The MGFest 2024 competition series started on November 9, with the first wave registration period until November 18, followed by the second wave on November 19-22. Participants’ works will be collected on November 23-26 and assessed on November 27-29. The winners of the competition will be announced on November 30, with awards in the form of coaching money and certificates for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, as well as e-certificates for all participants.
