Judicium Ceremony Led by Agriculture Faculty Dean: A Call to Shape Indonesia’s Agricultural Future

On Monday, December 9, 2024, the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Bengkulu held its judicium ceremony in the Auditorium Hall (Building C). The event, led by the Dean of the Faculty, was marked by heartfelt congratulations extended to graduates and their families. The Dean emphasized that this significant milestone heralds the start of a new phase filled with opportunities and challenges in the agricultural field.

In his address, the Dean highlighted the increasing demand for food driven by Indonesia’s population, which is anticipated to reach 300 million by 2045. He stressed the importance of sustainable agricultural methods and innovative solutions to address food security and environmental concerns. Graduates were encouraged to become key contributors in research, industry, and policymaking within the agricultural sector.

The Dean also acknowledged the government’s emphasis on agriculture as a cornerstone of national development. Initiatives focused on improving nutrition and food security have created new career opportunities, including roles in Indonesian National Army and The Indonesian National Police for agricultural professionals. He urged the graduates to remain adaptable, innovative, and committed to lifelong learning to tackle the evolving complexities of agriculture.
