Faculty of Agriculture: New Doctorate in Agricultural Industrial Technology

The Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu, is proud to announce that one of its lecturers, Evanila Silvia, S.TP., M.Sc., has completed her doctoral program in Agricultural Industrial Engineering at the Postgraduate School of the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB). The open promotion hearing was held online on Friday, December 20, 2024.

Evanila Silvia defended her dissertation, “Assessment Model and Strategy for Improving the Sustainability of the Palm Oil Agro-Industry Supply Chain in Bengkulu Province,” before a promotion committee consisting of leading experts, including Dr. Indra Cahyadinata, S.P., M.Sc., Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu, who acted as the commission’s external examiner.
This achievement was greeted with joy by the entire extended family of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu. Adding a doctor to this faculty is expected further to strengthen education, research, and community service quality.

The Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Indra Cahyadinata, expressed his pride in this achievement. “We hope that the knowledge and insights gained can provide a major contribution to the development of agro-industry in Bengkulu, as well as be an inspiration for the academic community of the University of Bengkulu,” he said. This success will be the first step toward a greater contribution to the development of science and technology, especially in agricultural and industrial engineering. The Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu, continues to be committed to supporting the academic achievements of its lecturers for the advancement of higher education in Indonesia.
